Toolbox
Eight CLI tools, built because the throwaway script always comes back.

The Problem
Personal automation starts as a script you'll delete later. It never gets deleted. Toolbox turns those recurring jobs — files, media, agent usage, personal data — into tested commands with real safeguards.
The Solution
A monorepo of eight focused CLI tools for file processing (filekit), image and photo metadata (imagekit), video transcription (mediakit), AI agent usage analytics (agentkit), and more — distributed through Homebrew behind one command surface.
What it does
- Process and rename files, photos, and frontmatter through filekit
- Transcribe video and audio to Markdown with mediakit, and clean up image metadata with imagekit
- Track agent usage and cost across Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, and OpenRouter with agentkit
- Delete X posts safely with OAuth 2.0 PKCE and rate-limit checks via xkit
- Crawl Internet Archive collections for downstream processing with datpiff
- Run every tool through one command surface with dry-run safeguards
What took work
- Match each tool to the limits of its runtime and data source
- Require dry-run and verification before destructive operations
- Keep eight toolchains coherent behind one command surface
